In My Garden and In My Home
This August Morn’
I am delighted by the flowers that keep giving in my garden. Bless their hearts!
This lily towers over the others who have done their best and are now resting.

Underneath the Cypress tree these Liriope brighten
the shade with their tiny white flowers.

Above the Liriope, this little birdhouse decorated in Pique Assiette

On this rose arbor the stars are beginning to shine. The Sweet Autumn Clematis, which grows wild here, is beginning to open.
This garden decoration has just the right elements –
white, rust and an adorable bird.
This poor little birdhouse fell from it’s perch,
but continues to give whimsy to my garden.

And last, but most sincerely not least – my Sally Holmes rose is still producing delicate white flowers that begin a pale pink. I will move her in the Fall, she needs a better location.
In the House
I just love Pitchers and Bowls. They speak of a time gone by with their lovely shapes and elegance. This little bit of lace doily is a new acquisition – I will love finding a home for it.
One of the other lace doilies that I recently purchased has found a
home resting on the back of this old chair.

I am preparing to change the drapery in my Retreat. I am storing this
lace and Batten-burg until I have all I need.

I recently found this two tier stand at Marshalls;
walked by it and turned around and placed it in my cart.
