Summer is officially just a few days away,
However, Southern gardens have transitioned
Into their summer attire already.
With
Daylilies
Cone-flowers
Hydrangeas
Daisies
Among others
And a couple of my favorite pinks.
The Mimosa tree
mature Mimosa trees have a wide graceful stance
They reseed madly and can be found intertwined
hardwood trees along highways and back roads
I just love to whisper,'Mimosa'. As I drive
past one.
The other tree or shrub is
the Crape Myrtle
We have quite a few varieties of color in our landscape
Some of our Crape Myrtle were hidden among
brush and trees when we first moved here.
Jewels in what was once a jungle.
